St Cloud AIM Projects 2008
Starting in January 2008 the St Cloud American Indian Movement's Community Services program will begin. The program consists of a variety of projects to enhance the lives of Indian People's here, in our community. Some of the projects are: -Elder visitations in the area's nursing homes, VA hospital, St Cloud hospital and home visits. The visitations are designed to not only share time with our Elder's but also to allow our Elder's to share with us their vast wisdom through storytelling, etc. -Tutoring for our Native Young People who need help with their schoolwork. -A mentoring program for our Native Youth. Kind of a Big-Indian Brother program. -Spring planting. St Cloud AIM will be gardening a couple of acre's of land to help our Native People eat more nourishing. At harvest time our crops will be dispersed among Native families and Elder's who otherwise couldn't afford fresh vegetables. All of our services are free of charge to Native People's in our community. There are many more projects we are working on, all are free of charge. Saint Cloud American Indian Movement is a non-profit organization that depends on the generosity of individuals and families as much as that of corporations and foundations.
