Two Fun Activities To Do With Your Toddler |
Toddler Activity: Baby Food Jar Fun!
This toddler activity promotes fine motor skills in your toddler. This is a fun project which also promotes recycling! Have fun.
Materials:
Clean Baby Food Jars With Lids- 1 or more
Edible treats of various sounds- ie. cereal, raisins, toddler fruit snacks.
Procedure:
Have your toddler place their edible treats into the baby food jars. "Sneaking" a little taste of the treats is permitted! Once your toddler has filled the jars 1/3 to 1/2 full, place the lids on the jars. Have your child shake the jars and listen to the different sounds. Use words like "that jar sounds loud and that jar sounds soft". Play with your new edible jars as musical instruments. Find different creative ways to use your jars to make sounds.
Once you have finished, your child may pour out their creation and eat the contents!! (The best part for a toddler!)
*Please supervise children around glass products due to breakage. Please monitor your child during all toddler activities.
